TERMS AND CONDITIONS — VASCOSAX

1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is only considered secured once the deposit has been received.
Dates remain open to other enquiries until this payment is made.
By paying the deposit, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined in this document.

2. Payment Policy
To secure a date, a 30% non-refundable deposit of the total fee is required.
The remaining balance must be paid in full at any time prior to the event, but no later than before the performance begins.
Deposits are payable by bank transfer. The final balance can be paid via cash or bank transfer.
If the outstanding amount is not received before the performance, VascoSax reserves the right to delay his set until paid in full.
The performance fee covers the duration of the live saxophone set only. Setup and pack-down times (typically 20 minutes before and after) are not included in the performance time, and the client should ensure these are accounted for in the event schedule.

3. Client Cancellations
If the client decides to cancel the booking, the booking fee deposit will not be refunded.

4. Cancellations or Rescheduling by VascoSax
If VascoSax is unable to perform due to unexpected events (such as illness), any payments received will be refunded in full.
Efforts will be made to source a suitable replacement, subject to the client's approval, though this cannot be guaranteed.
Should the client choose to postpone the event, the booking can be moved to a new date subject to availability. The deposit will be carried over. If no alternative date can be agreed upon, the original cancellation terms will apply (section 3).

5. Event Requirements
The client must ensure the performance area is safe, sheltered (for outdoor events), and provides access to power if required.
Time must be allocated for setup and pack-down — around 15 minutes each — before and after the performance.
Any technical or equipment needs should be discussed and agreed upon in advance.

6. Music & Requests
VascoSax will tailor the music to suit the event and as discussed with the client.
Requests for specific songs can be accommodated if provided in advance — ideally no later than four weeks prior to the event.
Songs deemed unsuitable may be declined at the discretion of VascoSax.

7. Liability
VascoSax has public liability insurance. However, the client remains responsible for the safety of the venue, guests, and overall performance area.
VascoSax accepts no liability for any harm, damage, or loss caused by the client, guests, or venue staff.

8. Force Majeure
Neither party will be held responsible for not fulfilling their obligations due to events beyond their control (including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, war, strikes, or legal changes). In such situations, both parties will make reasonable efforts to find a workable solution.
